As Kansans prepare to celebrate 250 years as a nation, the journey toward this historic milestone is an opportunity to reflect on our nation’s past, honor the contributions of all Americans, and look ahead to the future generations who will carry forward the ideals of democracy and individual liberty that make the United States a unique nation in the world community.

KSDAR Celebrate America 250! is focused on the commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States and to recognize the impact of this event on the people of Kansas.

From the 250th anniversary of the Boston Tea Party in 2023 until the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Paris in 2033, our nation’s rich history and diversity of experience is an opportunity to engage with other Kansans so that we might better reflect on the privilege of being an American with all the rights and responsibilities which that privilege involves.

KSDAR Celebrate America 250! encourages every Kansan to begin the immediate planning of projects that will commemorate the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States. Seek out those unique stories and places in Kansas that will positively affect the people within our state, by completing projects in unique, local and impactful ways.
