Chapter Activity Highlights

OCTOBER 2005

In October, we loaded three vehicles with clothing and other items for the veterans at Fort Dodge.

NOVEMBER 2005

During Education Week in November, Cimarron River Valley Chapter visted Seward County Community College, where we presented the college with an American Flag. Shown here are students standing in the flag gallery under the flag of their home country.

Our regular November meeting featured member Sarah Boles-Forman, who did a review of Cokie Roberts' book, "Founding Mothers: The Women Who Raised Our Nation."

DECEMBER 2005

Each December we have a Christmas Luncheon and Cookie Exchange.

The program at our May meeting was given by Regent Judy Adams, on the Jones and Plummer Trail, which from 1874 to 1878, was a primary artery for commerce and travel. The trail passes through the Adams Ranch, owned by Judy and her husband.

Also in May, the chapter sponsored a Genealogy Workshop and Seminar to help prospective members research their lineages prepare their membership papers. The event was presented by Lola Caraway, assisted by Carol Lockas.
