About Cimarron River Valley Chapter



October 15, 1966 -- eighteen Liberal-area women organized the Cimarron River Valley Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Mrs. R. B. Harkins served as Organizing Regent.

In 2005 our membership was 51 members. As of the first of 2009, our membership is 63 with three applications pending.

    • AMERICAN HERITAGE - Best Chapter Report
    • AMERICAN INDIANS - Continued involvement in the restoration of the El Cuartelejo Ruins in Scott County. For donations toward the project.
    • AMERICANISM - For assisting immigrants with papers for INS and IRS.
    • CONSERVATION - Outstanding Achievement in Conservation.
    • CONSTITUTION WEEK - Promotion of Constitution Week.
    • DAR SCHOOL - Teacher’s award for excellence in 100 or more collectible items.
